1. Programme
The programme consists of six instructor-led, three-hour workshops—18 guided hours in total—scheduled for 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 August 2026 in the Stanmore/Harrow area. The confirmed session time, venue and joining instructions will be supplied in writing.
The programme provides introductory, supervised practical training. It is not an accredited qualification and does not guarantee employment, income or professional competence.
2. Eligibility and applications
Applicants must be aged 18 or over on 1 August 2026 and able to attend all six sessions. Submitting an application does not reserve a place or create a contract.
We may contact an applicant to discuss suitability or reasonable adjustments. We may decline an application where the programme is unsuitable, full, or cannot safely meet the applicant’s needs.
3. Booking and price
The fee is £625 plus VAT—£750 including VAT. Payment is by bank transfer only after an application has been accepted and we have sent the applicant these terms, an invoice and a booking reference.
A place is secured only when cleared payment has been received and we issue written booking confirmation. Learners should verify any unexpected change to our bank details using the telephone number published on our official website.
4. What is included
The fee includes tuition, use of training tools during sessions, course learning materials and selected practice devices, components and consumable parts. Training tools and devices remain our property unless the booking confirmation expressly states otherwise.
The exact practice devices, components and repair activities may change according to availability, safety requirements and learner progress.
5. Consumer cancellation right
If the booking is concluded online, by email or by telephone, a consumer normally has the right to cancel without giving a reason for 14 days, starting the day after the contract is made. To cancel, the learner must send a clear statement to office@irepairtraining.com. They may use the model cancellation wording below, but do not have to.
We will refund sums due within 14 days after being informed of a valid cancellation, using the original payment method unless another method is agreed.
If the learner expressly asks us to begin providing the programme during the 14-day cancellation period and then cancels after provision has begun, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service already supplied. The right to cancel ends once the service has been fully performed, provided the learner expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the cancellation right would then be lost.
Nothing in these terms limits the learner’s statutory consumer rights.
6. Additional cancellation policy
After the statutory cancellation period has ended:
- If the learner cancels at least seven calendar days before the first workshop, we will refund the course fee less a £75 administration and committed-cost charge.
- If the learner cancels fewer than seven calendar days before the first workshop, we will make reasonable efforts to refill the place. If it is refilled, we will refund the fee less £75. If it is not refilled, any deduction will reflect our reasonable actual losses and will not be used as a penalty.
- Missed sessions and non-attendance are not normally refundable. At our discretion, and where practical, we may offer a place on a future equivalent session.
- The learner may request to transfer the booking to another eligible adult. Any transfer requires our written approval before the programme begins.
These additional terms do not reduce any refund, repeat-performance or price-reduction rights arising where services are not supplied with reasonable care and skill, as described, or as otherwise required by law.
7. Cancellation or changes by us
We may make reasonable changes to the instructor, room, practice devices or session content while preserving the programme’s overall purpose and value.
The programme requires a minimum number of confirmed learners. If we cancel the entire programme—including because minimum enrolment is not reached—we will offer a transfer or a full refund of course fees paid. If we cancel a session, we will offer a reasonable replacement session or an appropriate refund for the affected part if it cannot be rescheduled.
We are not responsible for separate travel, accommodation or other consequential costs, except where the law requires otherwise. We recommend that learners do not make non-refundable travel arrangements.
8. Attendance, safety and conduct
Learners must follow instructor directions, venue rules and all safety procedures, particularly when working with tools, glass, adhesives and lithium-ion batteries. Suitable eye protection and other protective equipment must be used when instructed.
We may pause an activity or remove a learner from a session where conduct creates a material safety risk, seriously disrupts others or involves harassment, discrimination, intoxication or deliberate damage. We will act reasonably and explain the decision. A refund may be refused where removal results from a serious or repeated breach and only to the extent permitted by law.
Learners must not bring customer-owned or personally valuable devices for repair unless we have approved this in writing. Personal belongings remain the learner’s responsibility.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of statutory consumer rights.
Subject to those rights, we are not responsible for loss caused by a learner failing to follow instructions, using skills outside the supervised programme, or working on an unapproved personal or third-party device.
10. Privacy and photographs
We use personal information to assess applications, administer bookings, deliver the programme, meet legal obligations and communicate with learners, as explained in our Privacy Notice.
Marketing consent is optional and separate from the application. Photographs or recordings identifying a learner will not be used for marketing without separate permission. Declining marketing or photography consent will not affect an application.
11. Contact and complaints
Questions, cancellations and complaints should be sent to office@irepairtraining.com. We will acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to provide a substantive response within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. A consumer may bring proceedings in the courts applicable under consumer law.
